Janet Betsy Tuttle, MD, MHA

JE (Betsy) Tuttle MD MHA FACS is currently a medical officer at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) in Washington DC. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Surgery/Critical Care at the University of Maryland. She served as the inaugural Walter Pories MD Endowed Professor and Chair of Surgery   at East Carolina University in Greenville North Carolina. She was the ACS Governor for the State of North Carolina, served on the ACS BOG Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force, the  ACS Legislative and Advocacy Committee, as well as theACS Nominating Committee. She has been a proud member of the Society of Surgical Chairs/Womens Committee since 2015. After completing a 6 month fellowship with HHS/Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services she has joined the NTSB as a medical officer and member of the medical investigative team.
