Ms. Tonkel has over 20 years of healthcare industry experience working with providers and managed care companies on a range of performance improvement initiatives. Her experience includes strategic planning, information technology implementation, project management, operations benchmarking, patient safety, quality and clinical outcomes, risk management and revenue cycle management.

Ms. Tonkel is currently SVP Client Engagement at Caresyntax and helps ensure client value and ROI. With a hands-on and results-driven approach and mission-driven by nature, she is passionate about Caresyntax because she sees the meaningful impact it has on patient health outcomes in surgery. Previously, Ms. Tonkel was the Vice President of Consulting for Pascal Metrics, a leading provider of patient safety and risk management services to healthcare systems. At Pascal, she was responsible for strategic client management, new program development, product development and consulting services. Previously, Ms. Tonkel was a Manager with Ernst & Young in the Healthcare Consulting group, where she focused on strategic information technology solutions and business process reengineering. Prior to E&Y, Ms. Tonkel was an early employee with MECON, Inc., a leading healthcare information services company providing operational benchmark data to health care providers across the United States. Ms. Tonkel began her career at Accenture where she focused on large-scale IT implementations primarily for hospital systems. As a Senior Consultant, Ms. Tonkel was selected to represent Accenture at its Global Health Strategy Center in Dallas, TX, a forward-looking strategic think tank for emerging technologies in the healthcare industry.
