Sallie Matthews, Executive Director, SAGES
Ms. Matthews has worked with SAGES for 31 years, serving as Executive Director since 1998. Her areas of expertise include Board and committee administration, project management, consensus building, organizational guidance and direction, conference management, budget oversight, international relations, staff supervision, contract negotiation, skillful communication, diplomacy, team building, strategic planning and leadership. She also serves as President & CEO of BSC Management, the management company for SAGES and fourteen other professional medical associations and foundations. A graduate of Indiana University, Ms. Matthews resides in Los Angeles, CA. Past honors include: Member of Forbes Non-Profit Council, SAGES Storz Lecturer 2021, JSES International Honorary Membership recipient 2023.
